Get Involved

There are many opportunities to get involved in the ministries of our church. Here are a few ways you can become involved in our congregation. Call the Church Office at (719) 544-1917 to volunteer for any of these areas of ministry or for more information.

Acolytes:
Children 3rd grade to 5th grade are Acolytes for the 9:30am service, September through May. New children are always welcome to join.

Missions:
Our missions team is active in our community. We are involved with our local Cooperative Care Center, Feeding the Hungry in Pueblo, Limon Youth Soccer Outreach and Yearly Costa Rica Mission Trip.

Communion Helpers:
Communion is served on the first Sunday of each month.

Lay Liturgist:
Lay Liturgists are needed at the 9:30am worship service. They read the community readings, the scripture, and announce the hymns. They may volunteer to help with communion if they sign up for the first Sunday. Cindy Moore is the coordinator

Ushers and Greeters:
Here at First Church ushers are an integral part of all worship services. Couples and/or singles are encouraged to become ushers and/or greeters. Any and all volunteers are encouraged, just call the Church Office at (719) 544-1917.
