  Cooperative Care Center  The Cooperative Care Center at 325 W 10th Street, is a food and clothing bank, established to serve the needy of Pueblo County. They are open week days from 9am-12noon except Friday,  with hours of service extended until 2pm. They need volunteers to assist in their operation. Please contact the Cooperative Center at 543-7484.
 

Coupons

 

Campbell's Soup labels are sent to McCurdy School in New Mexico. When they have collected 1 million coupons, they redeem them for a new Chrysler Van for the school. Please send only the bar code UPC portion of the label.

Travel size shampoos, soaps, etc are given to a variety of local and other missions, including the YWCA Women's Shelter, Supporting our Troops and Romanian Missions, Cooperative Care Center, and our IHN Program.

  Interfaith Hospitality Network

Interfaith Hospitality Network is a network of Pueblo Churches joined together to help the homeless families of our community.  We provide them a warm meal, fellowship with other Christians, and a bed to sleep on each night. 

Andrea Shirley, First UMC IHN Coordinator, welcomes all volunteers.  Below is some ways that you can become involved.  Please call the Church Office for more details.

1. Setting up the beds.
2. Cooking a meal during the week
3. Hosting family activity time
4. Serving as an overnight host.

 

Mitten Tree

The Mitten Tree is a Mission to correspond with the Holiday Food Baskets.  We collect Mittens, scarves, gloves, and hats the month before Christmas.

 

Holiday Food Baskets

Holiday Food Baskets are distributed to families that find themselves a little short at Thanksgiving and Christmas.
